Tenure Track Assistant Professor, English
The Medaille College Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, housed within the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education, invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor of English position to begin August 2019.
To be considered, applicants must hold a PhD in English or American Studies with a research emphasis in multicultural literature of the United States. The course load is 4-4, and at least half of this load will be first-year composition courses. The candidate will be expected to teach surveys of U.S. literature and multicultural literature of the United States.
Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching in a small college setting and to the education of diverse populations, a perceived ability to work productively with students, and the ability to work effectively with others in a collegial environment dedicated to student learning.
