Assistant Director, Academic Success Center (ASC)
Medaille College is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of the Academic Success Center (ASC) to provide oversight for the daily operations of the center and ensure that their families, faculty, staff, and visitors are always welcomed in a supportively engaging environment. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management focused on an inclusive and student-focused center. The Assistant Director will work in collaboration with departments to assist in facilitating a streamlined academic student support process, lead the college transitions program, coordinate budget in collaboration with the Director, and maintain the ASC website and other advertisement (e.g., social media, print and digital, etc.) materials.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the Director of Academic Advisement team to develop and implement a strategy for students on probation across the campus community, create innovative strategies for student learning through technology to engage them in various modalities and provide support to academic advisement through recommendation and implementation of best practices in terms of technology. Additional duties will include coordinating the college transitions program to assist all students with successful completion of their degree programs, developing and implementing assessments for the ASC with strategic goals that result in action based results.
• Master’s degree in counseling, education, higher education administration, or closely related field.
• 3 years of relevant experience in higher education or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community constituents.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to supervise and direct staff.
